FOR COUPLES WHO CRAVE INTIMACY, NOT PERFORMANCE

A wedding is not something to be staged.
It is something to be lived.

Catherine Carter approaches each wedding with quiet authority and care.

Her role is not to control the day but to protect it. To create space for real moments to unfold, while shaping them with light, composition, and instinct.

Nothing forced.

Nothing rushed.

Nothing performative.

Only what is true.

OUR PROCESS

First Contact

It begins with an email.

Once you’ve had a chance to explore the work and the investment, we’ll get on a call, a proper conversation, not a sales pitch. I want to hear about your day: the venue, the details you’ve fallen in love with, the feeling you’re hoping to walk away with. And I want you to get a sense of me, too.

THE RIGHT FIT MATTERS.

 The Consultation

Before any wedding I photograph, we meet. Over coffee if you’re nearby, or a video call if not.

This isn’t a logistics checklist. It’s the beginning of a relationship. I want to understand your vision, the aesthetic, the atmosphere, the moments that matter most to you. That conversation shapes how I approach your entire day.

The Planning Months

I don’t disappear after you book.

Throughout the months between your booking and your wedding day, I’m available on WhatsApp - for questions, reassurance, supplier recommendations, a second opinion on something you’re wrestling with. Whatever you need. I’ve been through enough weddings to know that having someone calm and knowledgeable in your corner makes a real difference.

The Wedding Day

On the day itself, I arrive as a calm and trusted presence.

I move quietly. I don’t direct unnecessarily or add to the noise of the day. My job is to be completely attentive, to the light, to the room, to you, while making sure you feel entirely at ease.

I’m there from bridal preparation through to an hour after your first dance, building a body of work that is filmic, considered, and true.

The florals. The fabric. The look on his face when he sees you. The blur of a moment that was almost too fast to catch.

ALL OF IT.

OUR PROCESS

The Gallery

Eight to ten weeks after your wedding, your gallery arrives.

CURATED, INTENTIONAL, ELEVATED.

Every image considered. Every sequence thoughtfully ordered. Delivered in colour and black and white, toned in the signature CC palette, soft, luminous, and timeless.

Your gallery is a finished body of work. Presented beautifully online, ready to share with family and friends, and yours to download, print, and keep for life.

ADD-ONS

For couples who want to extend the experience:

-Engagement Shoot - An unhurried session before the wedding day. A chance to find your ease in front of my lens, explore a location you love, and build something beautiful together. Priced separately.

-Second Photographer - For larger weddings, or where two perspectives matter.

-Extended Coverage - Rehearsal dinners, morning-after sessions, multi-day celebrations. Get in touch to discuss a bespoke commission.

A dreamy black and white sequence shows a person in a flowing tulle dress reclining near a window in an elegant room.

There is a balance.

Between stillness and movement.

Between observation and direction.

Between documentary and refinement.

I don't chase moments.

I compose them, quietly, instinctively,

and with intention.

A gesture held just long enough.

A glance framed with care.

A scene allowed to breathe.

Each image is shaped with a considered eye:

Soft, luminous light.

Filmic tones that age with grace.

Compositions that feel both effortless and precise.

Captured in medium format, the work holds depth, softness, and a quiet sense of permanence.

Nothing harsh.

Nothing trend-led.

ONLY WHAT WILL ENDURE.

Luxury is not excess.

It is how something feels.

A calm presence in a high-emotion space.

A steady hand when everything moves quickly.

An awareness of when to step forward, and when to disappear.

This is where trust is built.

And where the most meaningful images are made.

A couple in wedding attire share a joyful moment outdoors, with the bride in a lace dress and groom in light gray suit.
Blurred motion of business people walking in a city corridor with white walls and reflective surfaces.

What remains is not just a gallery.

But a body of work that carries weight.

Images that feel as though they belong to memory already.

Images that will be returned to, not just looked at.

Not wedding photographs.

A legacy.

Photography isn’t about images, it’s about memory and atmosphere.
